Description

Cold-tolerant and decorative variety of Asian lettuce from the cabbage family. Green leaves with red leaf veins that gain sharpness with age. Leaves are tapered and slightly serrated. Red Giant has a good aroma with tart and mustardy flavor. Short cultivation period. Very cold tolerant.

Pick outer leaves young. Insensitive to slugs. Germination after 6-12 days at 10-20°C. In winter, protect slightly from heavy frost if necessary. Keep the soil moist. Can also be sown in broadcasted form.
