Wasabi rocket is very similar to rocket in terms of its growth characteristics and care requirements. However, it has an unusually pungent taste of wasabi or horseradish. Wasabi rocket contains essential oils, the mustard oils, which produce the pungent taste in combination with the oral fluid. The high content of mustard oils also has an antibacterial effect. The leaves are tender and not woody. They are ideal as a "spicy note" in fresh salads and stimulate digestion in fatty dishes such as grilled meat. Bee-friendly.
F1 Hybrid
Not frost resistant
Wasabi rocket forms its own seeds, which fall to the ground in October and from which new plants grow the following spring. The flowers are formed from August. Male and female organs are found in one flower and are therefore easily pollinated by insects.
