Persian clover is a non-hardy, warmth-loving, fast and tall-growing clover species and is particularly suitable as a companion plant with annuals or perennial ryegrass. It scares off cabbage flies and cabbage white butterflies around cabbage and radishes. The light purple flowers serve as bee and insect pasture. For slices of berry bushes and fruit trees. Forage and foundation plant. Grows up to 1 m tall. Lots of root mass with taproot. Nitrogen collector.
Non hybrid
Not frost resistant
Can be sown in rows 20 cm apart or widely spaced. Approx. 3 g/m^2. Germination after 7-14 days at 10-18 °C. Keep seed moist. Forage cut from 15 cm height. Sensitive to frost. Tolerates all soils. Good as a pre-crop for cabbage and leek. After freezing, incorporate shallowly by March at the latest.
