The Mexican mini cucumber 'Solana' produces green, oval fruits with a sweet and sour taste.

A very high-yielding and unusual exotic climbing plant. The olive-sized fruits taste like cucumbers and are particularly refreshing. Also known as Mexican mini cucumber. A particularly dense-growing climbing plant for trellises. Delicious as a snack between meals or pickled. Sowing Pre-culture indoors from March to May, sow directly outdoors from mid-May. Plant out in a sheltered spot from mid-May. Sowing depth 1 cm, planting distance 40x50 cm. Germination Germination time 8-10 days at 20-22 °C. Location Prefers well-drained, humus-rich soil. Wind-protected, sunny, warm location. Requires climbing support. Care Water plants directly at the root area without moistening the leaves, need sufficient water. The fruits are ripe when they are approx. 2-4 cm in size and the skin can be easily pressed in, but is not yet mushy.
