The kiwi berry, also known as the mini kiwi, is an exotic and robust fruit that is becoming increasingly popular in Central Europe. Unlike the familiar kiwi, the kiwi berry has a smooth, edible skin and is about the size of a grape. These fruits grow on hardy climbing plants that can grow up to 10 m/11 yd high.
The plant is undemanding and thrives particularly well in temperate climates. Kiwi berries are hardy down to - 25 °C/- 13 °F. It is important to note that kiwi berries are dioecious, which means that you need two plants. One male and one female plant for pollination. Kiwi berries are climbing plants and need a climbing support.
