Historical variety from France, dates from before 1885 and was first published in the album Vilmorin. Light pink skin, with many thick corking. More or less pronounced depending on the pumpkin, sometimes the whole fruit disappears under the warty rind. This rind has a similar appearance to many peanut pods, which is why the variety is also called "peanut pumpkin" in German. Strongly climbing. Grows to 8 kg with thick, orange flesh. The flesh tastes delicate short roasted vegetables or good for puree. No exact information on space requirements. Ripening causes the sugar in the flesh to seep through the skin, creating the wart-like bumps. The more sugar, the more lumps form and the sweeter the squash becomes.
