Description

F1 hybrid. Also called heart Hokkaido. Forms only short tendrils and does not need so much space. Fruits are heart shaped & grow to about 0.8 - 1.3 kg. Thin orange skin & easily peeled off, but can be eaten. Aromatic and tender flesh. Can be kept for several months. Tender young pumpkins can also be used. For grilling, baking, and soups & desserts. Harvested early (from July) also as a raw food. Form up to 8 fruits in the center before they start to tendril. Suitable for large containers & raised beds. Germination after 7-14 days at 20-25°C.

Germination period 7-14 days at 20-25°C. Pre-grown plants are ready for harvest earlier and are more productive. Keep evenly moist during germination. Transplant after the last frosts. Do not damage the roots. More growing tips at the type pumpkin.
