Very hardy and old variety, is also used as a rootstock for grafting cucumbers and melons. Makes them more resistant to pests and to temperatures about 3 degrees lower. 2-5kg heavy, green-white spotted fruits with very hard skin, can be stored for about 2 years. White, very sweet and fibrous flesh. Used more for desserts (angel food jam, stewed fruit, fruit salads). Very young fruits can be used like cucumbers.
F1 Hybrid
Not frost resistant
Can form tendrils up to 20m long and climbs, so a high trellis is recommended. Preference is given to young fruit. Do not damage roots when planting out. Likes warm locations. If the pumpkin is used for grafting, it is not suitable for consumption.
