Description

The 'Queensland Blue' squash is native to Australia and is a traditional, open-pollinated variety. With a growing season of about 14 weeks, it thrives in the garden and adds variety to your harvest. Since it is not an F1 hybrid, you can easily collect your own seeds from the ripe fruits for next year’s garden.

Non hybrid

Not frost resistant

Growing tips

Sow the seeds about 2.5 cm deep in the soil and allow plenty of space, with 120 cm between plants in the row and 300 cm between rows. Since this variety is not cold-hardy, be sure to protect it from cold weather and late frosts. As a heavy feeder with high nutrient requirements, the plant needs sufficient nutrients in the soil throughout its entire growth period of about 14 weeks.
