Description

'Stripetti F1' is the spaghetti squash that is currently often found in the vegetable section of supermarkets. They are easily recognizable by their pale yellow base color and the dark green stripes that run lengthwise across the fruit. These easy-to-grow fruits reach a weight of approx. 1.5 to 2 kg and can be used in various dishes. Due to its growth habit, Stripetti F1 is very suitable for vertical cultivation or for a pumpkin tunnel. However, bear in mind that the weight of the fruit in the tunnel or on the trellis can be quite high. So make sure they have sufficient support. The plant has a strong climbing habit. Pre-culture in the greenhouse from the end of April. If the temperature allows it, it can be sown directly outdoors from mid-May. Make sure that the soil has a temperature of approx. 18 °C at the time of sowing and in the following week at sowing depth so that the germination process runs smoothly and the seeds are not attacked by mold and bacteria.
