This old Italian pumpkin variety from Chioggia has interestingly shaped fruits. They weigh up to 5 kg, are green-blue in color and have a distinctive, wrinkled surface. The golden-yellow flesh of the Marina di Chioggia pumpkin has an aromatic taste and is used in Veneto for ravioli alla zucca.

Pre-culture in pots in April and plant out after a hardening-off period after the Ice Saints in May. Handle the sensitive root balls very carefully when planting. From then on, they can also be sown directly outdoors. Distance between plants approx. 150 cm. Loves well-drained, nutrient-rich soil, warmth and plenty of water.
