This bush-shaped, true-to-seed pumpkin variety was already mentioned at the end of the 16th century - long before the commercial seed trade existed. The shell-shaped fruits, which ripen from whitish-green to white, reach a diameter of 15 - 20 cm. The taste is aromatic and the flesh is finely textured. The fruits are ripe after around 50 days. If harvested often, the plants remain very productive.
