Description

This variety is one of the most popular edible pumpkins. Its taste is excellent and it can be processed with peel. The finished pumpkin weighs about 1.5 kg. This variety ripens early and gives a high yield. The orange-red flesh tastes delicately like chestnuts and can be enjoyed raw, boiled or steamed.

Growing tips

Ideal for desserts, creams, cakes or pumpkin soup. It can be stored until winter if done in a cool, dry place. Germination after about 1 week from about 12 ┬░ C, optimal at 24 ┬░ C. Warm feet through compost or horse manure are recommended. Protect from slugs when young. Sensitive to frost. Harvest with stem about 5 cm long for longer shelf life. Harvest first fruits early.
