Description

Pole gourd. Slightly green-flamed, orange-yellow fruits up to over 1 m long and 15-20 cm Ø, 8-20 kg. Deep orange, firm, very aromatic flesh with few seeds. Good shelf life. Long vegetation period (100-110 days). [Source: Reinsaat KG] Germination after 7-14 days at 18-22°C.

Growing tips

Pre-culture is recommended. Water and fertilize regularly. Prevent waterlogging, weeds and direct contact of the fruit with the ground. Location protected from the wind. Sowing directly on the compost heap is possible. Harvest in dry weather, which provides better storage. Fruits should not touch each other during storage, otherwise they may rot.
