Partly also 'Golden Nugget'. This 'little golden nugget' is the space-saving pumpkin for the small garden from the Buttercup pumpkin variety. Low-ranking, bushy-growing variety with early yield. Approximately 1 kg of heavy, orange fruit with aromatic, orange flesh and sometimes slightly harder skin. The mealy-sweet flesh has a buttery flavor and is best stored for a month or more. Matured can be stored well.
Non hybrid
Not frost resistant
Germination in 7-14 days at 12-24°C, opt. min. 20°C constant. The soil should be deep and nutrient-rich. From mid-May can be sown directly into the open ground. This variety needs only about 1m² of space, as it grows hardly ranked, bushy. Abundant watering is very important, especially in the beginning until fruiting. A typical pumpkin problem are slugs, this can be counteracted eg with a thick ring of sawdust around the young plant. Maturity: 85 days (medium early).
