Description

This monthly strawberry (Fragaria vesca var. semperflorens) has cream-colored small berries. The highly aromatic fruits can be harvested already in the first year. The variety 'Yellow Wonder' is very decorative especially in combination with red strawberries. Ideal also as a pot plant for the balcony. From the leaves can be brewed a tea, which in folk medicine is considered to purify the blood. Sow indoors in pots in spring. The seeds are light germinators and are only lightly pressed on the soil. For germination +20 ° C is needed. Monthly strawberries are hardy and evergreen. This variety grows about 10-20 cm tall and needs about 25 cm planting distance (16 pieces per m²). Monthly strawberries are perennial. The woodland strawberry prefers sunny to semi-shady locations and requires moist but well-drained soil rich in nutrients and humus.
