Excellent leaf chicory for fall and early winter harvest. Italian salad specialty. Forms elongated, well-closed, conical heads with juicy tender, purple, white-veined leaves. Harvest after about 90 days. Only suitable for overwintering in very warm locations and in greenhouses.

Germination at 16-18°C after 7-14 days. Red coloration increases with cool nights. Tolerates some sub-zero temperatures and can be harvested into November. Water regularly. Radicchio becomes more bitter when sown early.
