Italian specialty with medium-sized, wine - red heads and partially greenish leaf tips. White, broad ribs that taste only slightly bitter. Biennial.
F1 Hybrid
Frostproof
At the end of October, cut back the green foliage to about 3 cm, so that the red heads can form the following spring. To speed up, cover the plants with brushwood. From July - August, sow flat in rows with 25 - 30 cm spacing. Sow immediately to 15 cm final spacing, because radicchio is difficult to transplant. The soil should be slightly sandy.
