Rosette-like radicchio specialty with crisp, creamy white and red speckled leaves. Pleasantly fresh and only slightly bitter taste. Suitable for autumn harvest. Also called winter rose or Variegata di Castelfranco. Sow for it in spring after the last late frosts. The plants bleach themselves inside. If you want to harvest even more tender leaves, you can simply put a large clay pot over the plants and bleach the leaves that way. This variety can even tolerate light frosts. Robust and stores well.
Non hybrid
Frostproof
Germination at 15-20 ° C after 7-14 days. Especially in the beginning, when the plants are still small, water a lot, otherwise the leaves quickly become bitter! If you do not cut too deep, you can harvest up to three times per plant. Avoid waterlogging. Does not need much fertilizing, rather fertilize less. Keep weed free. Tolerates light frost.
