Who is behind Fryd?

The heart of Fryd is driven by a great core team, and we get additional support from our wonderful working students. Our company is based in Stuttgart, but we work as a remote team from different cities across Germany (Stuttgart, Cologne, Berlin, Potsdam, Weiden, Bremen, Regensburg...). We are agricultural biologists, software developers, designers, gardening enthusiasts, vegetable lovers, hobby cooks, students, parents...

Our mission is to help people with ecological vegetable growing, and to promote regional and seasonal eating as well as appreciation for food.

We are a limited company oriented toward the common good rather than profit maximization. That's why we've decided to run our company as a so-called Purpose Company in steward-ownership. We can only preserve this independence if we can fund the operation of Fryd through revenue. We want to keep Fryd ad-free and only work with sustainably operating partner companies.
