Old variety, brings large, closed, firm, white cobs with yellowish-greenish tips. Roots are harvested in the fall, and then turned in to form the cob, so the chicory sprouts harvest is possible from the beginning of November.
Non hybrid
Not frost resistant
Possibly low nitrogen deep soil in a sunny location (If the nitrogen content of the soil is too high, beets will form too large and will only form loose heads when sprouting). Germination after approx. 1 week at approx. 16°C. Optimal soil temperature towards the end of the season 15°C and lutft temperature approx. 11°C. Harvest beets from mid-September with optimal beet diameter of 3-5cm, remove leaves, leave only heart (2cm). Pile up the roots for storage in a cool room and protect them from drying out. Drifting with cover soil from mid-October: place roots in a container about 30-40cm deep, cover with moist sand, soil or peat (unpopular) and put in a dark room at about 15-20°C. Water forcing is also possible. Propagation time approx. 3-5 weeks.
