Relatively loosely leafy, vigorous basil with medium-sized, purple leaves and medium bolt resistance. This variety is also suitable for drying, but can also be used fresh. The red color of the leaves makes it an attractive accent in the garden and on the plate. If some plants are left unharvested, they will flower for several months, attracting a variety of insects from butterflies to bees and hoverflies. The variety remains productive and healthy until late fall. Suitable for fresh processing and drying.
Non hybrid
Not frost resistant
Germination at 18-24 °C in 10-14 days. Avoid waterlogging. Good mixed cultivation with tomatoes. Further cultivation tips for the species basil.
