Description

The Conference pear is one of the most frequently cultivated and most popular pear varieties. It produces high and regular yields and is characterized by sweet, juicy and tasty fruit. The 'Conference' variety originates from Great Britain and has been commercially available since 1885. This robust variety is very popular due to its delicious fruit. The pears are ready to pick from the beginning of September and can be enjoyed until November. At a storage temperature of around 5 - 8 °C, they can be kept until the end of December. The skin is smooth and firm, while the flesh is greenish-yellow in color. The taste of the 'Conference' pear is tangy, melting and extremely juicy. The fruits are medium-sized and elongated in shape. The flowering period extends from April to May, during which the pear tree shines in a blaze of white flowers.
