Exotic, large, elongated watermelon from Florida. It has a very sweet taste. The individual fruits can weigh up to 25 kg with their green skin. This watermelon has a bright red flesh with a very high sugar content. The plant is characterized by its resistance to Fusarium wilt and anthracnose.
Non hybrid
Not frost resistant
Melon seeds should be sown in good sowing soil in sufficient warmth from April. The sowing depth should be 1-2 cm. The roots of the plant are very sensitive, which is why damage during pricking out and planting, as well as waterlogging, should be avoided at all costs. After about 3-4 weeks, the seedlings can be planted outdoors in frost-free weather. A planting distance of 2m should be observed. The location should be warm and protected from the wind. A mulch film will additionally warm the soil after planting. The soil must be rich in humus and loose. Harvest from September when the fruits sound dull when "tapped" and can be easily removed from the stalk. The main shoot of the watermelon plant must be freed from the side shoots after the fifth to sixth leaf.
