Description

Die Preiselbeere Vaccinium vitis-idea gehört wie die Cranberry und die Heidelbeere zur Familie der Heidekrautgewächse (Ericaceae). Sie ist an saure Waldböden gewöhnt. Im Geschmack ähnelt sie der Cranberry. Die Sorte Red Pearl hat ein starkes Wachstum, Früchte und Blätter werden sehr groß. Der Geschmack der Beeren ist würzig-säuerlich, ohne sauer zu sein.
