Today it was time to tackle the hedge. Firethorn is really a pain to trim. It’s best to use hand pruners, and the thorns are brutal. It turned out pretty well, though. 😉 I still need to trim the branches to shape the Benjes hedge. It was quite a bit of work. It gets dark so early. 😥
I collected and shredded the leaves with the lawn mower, so there wasn’t too much of it. But with the amount of leaves I have, I’ll definitely have to do that twice more.
But it saves a lot of time and is less labor-intensive than doing it by hand. 👍

Finde eure beete alle so schön. Im nä gartenjahr will ich das auch so schön machen. Zumindest versuchen will ich.
Bin eher der chaos-typ, weil ich keine pflanze, die sich massiv ausbreitet, kaputt machen kann 🤷♀️
Mein Garten hat auch eine Menge Chaos im Sommer. Das liegt daran, dass ich auf mehreren Ebenen gärtner. Und die oberen Ebenen sind von wuchernden Kürbissen und Gurken und Stangenbohnen beschlagnahmt und weil die dann doch immer nochmal mehr Platz brauchen, ziehen sich eine Menge Schnüre durch den Garten an denen sie nochmal weiterranken dürfen. Die einen schütteln den Kopf beim vorbei gehen, die anderen bleiben staunend stehen. Ich fühle mich einfach wohl zwischen dem ganzen Gestrüpp. Als im Sommer eine Freundin mit 1.5 jährigem Sohn zu Besuch war, haben wir ihn fast nicht mehr gefunden. 😉
