Things always turn out differently than you expect. That thick branch and lots of small twigs fell from my neighbor’s corkscrew willow right into my flower bed. I was lucky enough to be able to repair the damage and tied the perennials together. My task for today was actually to winterize the pond and rake up the leaves. That was some real work. I forgot my long rubber gloves, so I couldn’t reach the bottom. Now the net is over it, and the delicate plants are in the basement. Let’s see if I still get around to doing that.
