...Is this still edible, or should I throw it away? 🤷 ...Somehow, these Conference pears had hidden themselves in the fridge 🫣 ...well, now they look like this 😳 ... But that’s no reason for me to toss them in the trash...it’s not mold or rot—no, these pears have simply become “daig,” a term in our dialect (Alemannic) for pears that have become “doughy.”.. I’m drying them in the dehydrator and using them as a sugar alternative in my daily batch of iced tea...😋
