#HarvestJoy And my first artichokes. Last year I tried growing the "Vert de Provence" variety from seed for the first time, but they didn’t produce anything and, unfortunately, didn’t survive the winter. This year, I bought a pot with three Imperial Star seedlings and planted them out, and all three have buds that are practically ready to harvest, even though they’re not even knee-high. Now I have two questions about this: 1. They’re full of leather bugs—I’ve seen them here and there on other plants too, but they seem to prefer the artichokes. Do I need to do anything about this, and if so, what? And 2: What do I do with artichokes? 😅 Does anyone have any recipe ideas besides boiling them and serving them with a vinaigrette for dipping?

Also mit Bedacht vorgehen.
