Right now, everyone’s in the thick of harvest season, and for various reasons I’ve lost track of things this year, so here’s a question for you: what are you currently sowing, what are you currently planting, and what might be suitable for me to tend to for a few more weeks while I’m still here? Our garden here looks pretty bleak and dry again, and I’d like to do something about it quickly but sustainably. Do you have any tips?

This weekend I am sowing collards, brussels sprouts, cabbage so they can be transplanted for the winter garden. I planted more potatoes a week ago for a second harvest. Beets, carrots, bush beans, chard, cilantro, and a few short season winter squashes were sown over the last few days. I have some lettuce starts to plant in the partial sun areas. Like @patronbernard I am holding off on peas for another week or two.

Salat, Buschbohnen, Endiviensalate, Herbstrettich, Kohlrabi....Rote Bete könnte noch klappen. Und frühe Möhren. Auch Gurken ist ein Versuch wert.

Mein Gartennachbar hat gestern noch Buschbohnen gesät. Das ist jetzt allerletzte Chance.
