This is my first year with a khaki tree—it’s in its fourth year—and it’s bearing a lot of fruit for the first time. (Last year there was only one, which fell off.) Quite a few fruits are falling off now. I haven’t read anything about thinning the fruit, as is done with apple or cherry trees, for example. Is this like a June (or July) drop? Apparently, it does this when it’s stressed. It should have enough water (it doesn’t need much, after all)—was it the heat? What can I do?
