Hi everyone 😊, I planted garlic for the first time last October 😄! Now here’s my question: should I harvest it already, or is it better to wait a little longer?! What are those bulges on the stems 🤭😬? Warm regards

Your garlic looks ready for harvest. The yellowing/browning lower leaves are a giveaway. Those bulges are scapes/ bulbils depending on the variety. They signal that the plant is putting energy into reproduction (flowering, seed pods) rather than growing the underground bulbs. You could always just dig one out to see if the bulb is a decent size.

Einfach mal Probeernten. Wenn sich die Zehen abzeichnen an der Knolle, passt es. Auch zu früh geerntet kann man verwerten. Lagert dann nicht gut.
