Description

The ornamental apple 'Evereste' stands out with its abundance of flowers and later fruit. The eye-catching white flowers with pink stripes around the edges sprout as early as May and exude a delicate and pleasant fragrance in the garden. The orange-red apples look tempting and delicious: (bot.) Malus 'Evereste' is an ornamental shrub. The fruits are only used in jellies in some places. The plant is hardy and often retains its small, dark green and matt shiny leaves until long after the first frost. Malus 'Evereste' presents itself in a charming dress of foliage and flowers, as well as the fruits that appear in summer. The small apples turn darker on the sunny side than on the shady side, giving them an attractive appearance and varying shades of bright red and orange. If the plant is in full sun, the apples turn a dark red and appear more intensely colored than plants in partial shade. An attractive fruit decoration that plant lovers will never tire of. The small apples hang very firmly on the branches. They only fall off in heavy rain and strong gusts of wind. The gardener can admire these graceful creatures for a long time. Even before this ornamental feature appears, the fruit shrub delights with its lush flowers. The single flowers are numerous on the plant in spring and are truly attractive harbingers of summer. The ornamental apple 'Evereste' is suitable as a magnificently flowering solitary plant and will delight in a group of several ornamental apples. It also looks wonderful in combination with various other fruit trees. Another advantage: this ornamental apple is an excellent pollenizer for fruit apples and ensures a rich harvest from these shrubs.
