Annual herbaceous plant, 20-60 cm high. Pinnate trifoliate leaves, white or yellowish-white butterfly flowers in inflorescences (May-July). Legumes with 10-20 seeds. Aromatic leaves and seeds. Spice and medicinal plant. Leaves as a substitute for spinach, seeds for curries (fenugreek). Nitrogen-fixing, nutrient-rich. Yield: 100-200 g seeds/m². Bee-friendly, robust.
