Also called pizza herb. Aromatic perennial whose young leaves are harvested fresh and dried. Can be cut several times. Very decorative, light purple-pink flowers. Height about 80-100cm. Propagation possible in spring by division. Sunny location. Bee pasture. Botanical name: Monarda fistulosa ssp. menth. Sowing: January to May at 18-20°. Cultivation time: 3-4 months Useful life of the perennials: 3-4 years Also very beautiful as an ornamental plant. Also called Indian nettle (see also entry under flowers).
