Kajari is the most unusual honeydew melon there is. When ripe, the pale green skin is alternately emerald green and dark orange striped. Kajari has even more to offer: it ripens exceptionally early, as early as Minnesota Midget. The flesh is sweet and juicy, the fragrance nectar-like. It is a rare and historical variety from India, probably originated in the Punjab region.
F1 Hybrid
Not frost resistant
Sugar melons are particularly susceptible to fungal diseases. Preventively spray horsetail liquid manure. Watch out for soil-borne fungi, so it is best to graft.
