Description

'Stellio' is part of Kiepenkerl's Profi-Line program and is naturally a very hardy variety that also delivers reliable results in German gardens. As the shoots of this plant do not need to be broken out, it is easy to cultivate. The sugar melon prefers a warm and bright location that is protected from gusts of wind. The delicate fruits of the burst-resistant melon have a netted, delicate green skin and a particularly sugary-sweet orange flesh. The approx. 1 kg fruits keep well.

Growing tips

When growing F1 hybrids, it is helpful to cover them with water-permeable mulch film. This keeps the roots of the plant warm, which results in an earlier and longer harvest. It is also advisable to grow 1 to 2 seeds in a pot to create a root ball. However, this must not be damaged under any circumstances, as the roots are very sensitive.
