Description

'Mushroom Red' is originally from the USA. The plants have relatively small, elongated and light green leaves. They grow very branched, but still have a rather slender habit. The fruits have thin walls and are approx. 4x4 cm/1.6x1.6 in in size. They have a mushroom-like shape, hence the name. The pods ripen from green to red, develop a pronounced pungency and are suitable for drying, making sauces and salsas and also for stuffing.
