Description

Mild Greek sweet bell pepper that is used unripe (light green) in the typical Greek farmer's salad. Only very slightly spicy, crunchy and tart when unripe, sweet and juicy when ripe (red). Fruits are between 3-12 cm/1.4-4.7 in in size. Very early variety, also suitable for outdoor cultivation here. Pungency scale: 2-3.

Growing tips

Cover the seeds only lightly with soil to germinate, keep them evenly moist but not wet and warm (min. 20°C/68°F, preferably 25°C/77°F). A bright location is also important. Prick out as soon as 2-4 true leaves are present. Harden off before planting out. When the first fruits begin to form, fertilize about once a week. The first flower can be broken off to encourage the formation of further fruit. Locations protected from the wind are advantageous. Better in a greenhouse.
