Cultivated in Capriglio/I by the approximately 200 inhabitants for over 100 years. Still on the market until about 1980. The fruits are rather small and round. About 6-8 cm/2.4-3.1 in in size. Thin skin, thick, soft flesh. Earliest yellow or red peppers. Very tasty and pretty. Fruits can also be eaten green. Very heat-requiring.
Non hybrid
Not frost resistant
Cover the seeds only lightly with soil for germination, keep evenly moist but not wet and warm (min. 20°C/68°F, more likely 25°C/77°F). A bright location is also important. Prick out as soon as 2-4 true leaves are present. Harden off before planting out. When the first fruits start to form, fertilize about 1 time a week. The first flower can be broken out to encourage the formation of more fruits. Locations protected from the wind are advantageous. Better in a greenhouse.
