F1 hybrid. Popcorn Maize Nana grows to a height of 2 m/2.2 yd. Each plant forms light yellow 1-2 cobs about 20 cm/7.9 in long. Ideal for making popcorn, the plants are sturdy and high-yielding. (From Sperli & DürrSamen)
F1 Hybrid
Not frost resistant
Germination after 8-14 days at 18-25°C/64-77°F. For optimum fertilization, block sowing is recommended with shorter spacing. Cover the areas with a fleece after sowing to protect them from bird damage. After harvesting, the leaves are stripped from the cobs and tied upwards and hung up to dry. Remove the dried grains from the cob and cook in a pan or pot. High phosphorus and potash requirement, medium nitrogen requirement. (From Sperli & DürrSamen)
