Description

Climbing pea that grows up to 1.50 m/1.6 yd tall and produces many pods on long, strong shoots. Late maturing. Forms flat, tender, fleshy pods up to 10 cm/3.9 in long without a parchment layer. For fresh consumption or boiled or steamed. (From N. L. Chrestensen)

Growing tips

Germination after 10-20 days at 6-15°C/43-59°F. Do not sow on freshly fertilized soil and do not grow before or after legumes in the same place. Protect the seed from birds. Requires a climbing aid. Keep evenly moist. Harvest young pods or peas.
