Description
When harvesting, only ever cut off the outermost leaves 3 cm above the soil, then it will always grow back. Why is lettuce green and some lettuce red? Green lettuce contains a lot of chlorophyll, which is good for concentration and helps combat tiredness. Red lettuce has a high content of carotenes, folic acid and bitter substances, which have good detox properties. Chopped lettuce is ideal if only a few leaves are needed regularly for decorating or garnishing, as well as for burgers or sandwiches. Of course, it can also be added crisp and fresh to a bowl with other herbs to complement a delicious rocket salad or lamb's lettuce.
