...just imagine, I was almost caught off guard by the rain while harvesting in the garden... ...muwahaha...🤣🤣🤣 ...the sky turned dark, 5—maybe even 6—drops fell—that was it...
...the rain evaporated on the roof tiles—0.0 liters for the rain barrels...🙄 ...Well, thanks to intensive daily (expensive) watering, I still managed to get a few “treats” into the basket...
...sneak preview of the endive
...A zucchini—torpedo (thanks to these war-torn times, military slang is totally in vogue! 😎🫣) Normally I prefer to harvest these while they’re still tender and young, but for some reason I was in the mood for stuffed zucchini 🤷
...The “Rosamunde” grape variety—actually a very late variety—is rosé-colored when ripe (like the few little berries in the photo!). The intense heat prompted me to harvest them today; they’re definitely sweet enough to enjoy!
The blue variety is “Muscat Bleu”—for me, one of the best home-grown grape varieties with the finest hint of nutmeg! 😋
