Eat the rainbow! Unbelievable—I haven't been in the garden for three days, and everything has gone wild after the last rain! Of my two zucchini plants, two are really taking off now—one was the Solero variety, the other Nero di Milano(?). The other two aren’t producing at all, or are just tiny—probably not enough sun! Anyway, I just cleared out some really sunny spots, so I’ll plant two more there! I pinched off all the flowers on the cucumbers on Sunday, and now they’ve definitely grown 50 cm and have new flowers and cucumbers everywhere! The beets are coming up now, too. The eggplants are really taking off after I added bokashi; the cabbage doesn’t look so great, and the carrots aren’t really cooperating either! Swiss chard and tomatoes are coming along now too, and the combination of bush beans with cucumbers or zucchini is a hit!
