First casualty of the heat: the #Karina pea variety can’t stand the heat at all. At least we still got a 1.5 kg harvest. If this heat continues, peas will probably only yield one harvest and not a continuous one... 2. A nice, big visitor—though not necessarily a welcome one. The willow borer. Its caterpillars (up to 10 cm long!!) bore centimeter-wide holes into deciduous trees with soft wood. I’d better check my birch trees!
