1. Experiment with a straw bed.
I planted Bamberger Hörnchen in compost soil, covered them with 30 cm of straw, and watered them like a champ 😁.
Let's see if this works.

... Ich habe keine Ahnung, aber könnte es sein, daß der Nitratgehalt der Kartoffeln bei dieser Kultur recht hoch ist 🤔
