The black currant Titania has an excellent balanced sweet and sour taste. It has a high vitamin C content and is suitable for eating raw. It produces high yields in July and August. Large black berries on dense clusters. The plant is extremely robust and resistant to diseases. Columnar currants require little space and yet produce good yields. They grow vertically up the stem and reach a height of 170 cm. Only prune excessively long shoots to maintain the shape. Cut out old wood if necessary. Columnar currants need little space and usually bear immediately. Ideal for container planting, e.g. as balcony fruit. But also ideal for small gardens.
