Description

Branched, perennial shrub up to 2-3 m tall. Thorny shoots, pinnate leaves. Large, elongated, dark purple-black berries (2-4 cm), low acidity, juicy and aromatic. Flowers white-pink (May-June). Hybrid of raspberry, blackberry and loganberry. Sweet and tart, rich in vitamins. Yield: 3-8 kg/bush. Self-fertile, robust, possible to bear in the fall. Hardy to -25 °C.

Growing tips

Keep permanently moist (mulch). Trellis/climbing aid (1.8 m). Shorten fruiting shoots in the fall. Prune back severely after harvest. Establish young plants for 2-3 years. Protect against snow pressure in cold weather.
