Description

This large shrub forms undergrowth with its short runners and flowers in May in its typical blue-violet to lilac color in fragrant panicles up to 20 cm long.

It prefers a nutrient-rich, well-drained and not too acidic soil in full sun. The wild lilac can be used as a cover shrub and for large flowering hedges, as well as on hedgerows.
